TERMS & CONDITIONS

Before you book, please make sure you are happy with our terms and conditions, as booking a course with us indicates your acceptance.

1.0 DEFINITIONS

1.1 Client – the organisation or individual who accepts an offer from RHB Adventures to provide an event or course.

1.2 Participant – an individual who has agreed to participate in an event or course.

1.3 RHB Adventures – the provider of the event or course and this includes their staff

 

2.0 GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

2.1  Course places must be reserved by sending us a completed payment

2.2   If a site visit is required, the charge for this will be due regardless of whether or not the event goes ahead.

2.3  If a participant is undergoing any medical treatment or has a physical or medical condition (including being on medication) that may affect their ability to participate on the chosen course or event, this must be brought to the attention of RHB Adventures staff prior to the start of the course or event. RHB Adventures staff reserve the right not to allow the participant to proceed with the event. If this happens, a refund will not be given.

2.4  RHB Adventures reserve the right to exclude any participant from an activity if their actions are thought to be endangering the safety of themselves or others. If this happens, a refund will not be given.

2.5   Any participant who acts in contravention of the decisions or advice of a RHB Adventures staff member or undertakes independent activities during the event will forfeit all professional protection and duty of care from RHB Adventures.

2.6   Personal belongings are the participant’s own responsibility. RHB Adventures do not accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to any personal belongings during RHB Adventures events.

2.7   RHB Adventures reserve the right to decline a booking or cancel an existing booking.

2.8   RHB Adventures owns all the media and photographs taken on an event unless agreed in advance. Photographs and media will be shared on RHB Adventures social media pages only.

2.9  RHB Adventures will not be held responsible for increased event costs due to Force Majeure. If an event is subject to an increase in price due to Force Majeure, that increase will be passed onto the participant or client.

2.10  Transfers of places between one participant and another is allowed. However, there will be a charge of 10% of the original cost with a minimum of £25 per person as an administration fee.

 

3.0 CANCELLATION BY RHB Adventures

3.1   Every attempt will be made by RHB Adventures to ensure that its courses run. However, should a cancellation be unavoidable then the participant(s) / client will be notified at the earliest opportunity

3.2   Should RHB Adventures cancel an event then the client shall be entitled to either a refund, minus costs incurred due to payment services used (i.e. Paypal, Woocommerce, Stripe, etc…) of the money paid or a transfer to an alternative date.

3.3   In the case of cancellation of a course due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather conditions, terrorist act, police incident etc then a full refund will be paid less actual costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.

 

4.0 CANCELLATION OF A COURSE BY A CLIENT

4.1  All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable providing an acknowledgment is received).

4.2 If, after booking, you need to change the dates of your course, we will offer you alternative dates, as long as you notify us at least 10 weeks prior to the starting date of the course you have booked. In other circumstances, we may exercise our discretion.

4.2  If you need to cancel with more than 10 weeks notice to the starting date of the course, the balance of your event fee (less admin fee of £25) will be refunded.

4.3 If you cancel with less than 10 weeks notice, we will only refund the balance of the fee (less the admin fee of £25) if we are able to re-sell the event space on your behalf. If we are unable to resell the course, the full course fee shall be charged.

4.4  Should the client wish to reschedule the course, and if RHB Adventures is able to accept the change, then an additional charge will be made which will be discussed and agreed at the time. This will be at least 30% of the total course cost.

  

5.0  PRICE AND PAYMENT 

5.1   The price quoted is for the services, dates and times stated. Any changes to these requested by the client or participant may cause an increase in the price to be applied.

 

6.0 INSURANCE

6.1 You should ensure you are fully insured for your course to cover all cancellation, search & rescue and medical emergencies, as well as equipment loss or theft.
